Affirming, anti-oppressive psychotherapy for Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual and intersex folk
2SLGBTQQAI+ life issues
While there is no specific two-spirit therapy, lesbian therapy, gay therapy, bisexual therapy, transgender therapy, queer therapy, intersex therapy or asexual therapy, 2SLGBTQQAI+ folk may have concerns unique to their experience that I can help them navigate such as coming out or feeling badly about themselves, bisexual people may have these concerns while also dealing with challenges such as oppression from within the 2SLGBTQQAI+ community, and questioning or queer people may share all of these concerns while trying to find what works for them when nothing seems to fit.
I can provide support for finding the path that fits best for you, and together we can search for solutions that make sense to you based on your life and your agenda.

Therapy for people of trans* experience
There is no special trans* therapy or gender therapy, but people who are of trans* experience and/or who have questions or concerns about their gender have unique needs and goals that require specific knowledge, experience, sensitivity and practicality. I have extensive training and experience to aid trans* folk on their journeys, and can help you navigate your concerns while we explore what gender means to you and how you interact with others and your world.
Together we can find ways to address the ramifications of exploring inside and outside of conventional gender roles, while celebrating your hopes and your vision of yourself! If you are in transition or are considering it, I can also connect you with additional resources to aid you in your journey
Therapy that sees you as you are
It is important to remember that this is not reparative (or “conversion”) therapy, where a therapist’s goal is to make you straight or cisgender. This kind of therapy is considered harmful and unethical and I do not practice it and I advocate against it.
My goal is to create a space where you feel free to explore, express, and embrace who you truly are. Whether you are just beginning that journey or are well along the way, I am here to support you and not to change you.
Here when you’re ready
Your identity, your experience, and your journey are your own. I welcome and celebrate everything you bring to our work together.
I will help you explore your concerns in a confidential, safe, affirming and anti-oppressive environment where we take into account all aspects of your life, including friendships, family, culture and spirituality.
